The Artist
There's always paint somewhere on Claire Cummack. On her hands, on her studio apron, occasionally in her hair.
Claire is a Melbourne-based painter working primarily in acrylic — bold, layered, unapologetically joyful work that centres on florals, wildflowers, and the quiet abundance of everyday life. Her paintings have a way of making a house feel like a home. That's not accidental. It's the whole point.
Trained in design and with a practice rooted in mark-making, texture, and colour, Claire paints the way most people wish they felt — warm, unhurried, alive. Her signature style sits somewhere between a semi abstracted floral and a Melbourne garden in full bloom: expressive without being chaotic, familiar without being safe.
Claire's work is held in private collections across Australia. She exhibits at the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair and shows at makers markets across Melbourne throughout the year.

Red Lane Studio
Red Lane Studio came about because of the long held desire of Claire. To get art into the hands of as many people as possible. Not everyone has space or can afford an original painting, but often they can find space for a teatowel or eye pillow. She passionately believes that Art and colours have the ability to impact on an emotional level and allow for a joyous uplift.
Red Lane Studio is Claire's product brand — a collection of handmade homewares, art prints, lino prints, and linen goods, all stemming from her original artwork.
Everything in the studio shop begins with a painting or a hand-cut lino block. From there it becomes a tea towel, a cushion, a heat pack, a block-printed bag — small drops of joy designed to live with you every day, not just hang on a wall.
The studio operates on a small-batch, no-waste ethos. Fabrics when not block printed in the studio, are printed locally in Melbourne. Sewing and finishing is done by hand. Nothing goes into landfill. Every purchase supports at least three small Melbourne businesses.
The non-negotiables: Natural linens and cottons. Biodegradable inks. Local makers. Production to order. Original art, always.
